Race report by Olly Jefferies
Round one of the Schumacher BTCC 2014 took place at the very popular West London club, UK. The BTCC is used by many as a warm up for the BRCA national series which uses the same tracks and will run one or two weeks after each BTCC round. Round one attracted a full entry which is always great to see and provides a great atmosphere around the track and pit area. The XRAY team were in attendance and trying to gain as much data as possible for the upcoming national at the end of the month. Being early April the weather provided the drivers with the challenge of mixed conditions with rain showers throughout the day.

Pro Stock
In the Pro stock class Zak Finlay dominated qualifying taking TQ in all four rounds to line up on pole position for the single leg A final. As the drivers prepared to walk onto the drivers stand the rain returned, with everyones cars fitted with slick tyres Zak decided to switch to wets which would prove to be the perfect decision. As soon as the cars left the grid Zak immediately pulled away and took the final win by almost two laps. It was a great display of driving and also team work to get Zak's car onto the grid in time.

Final results:
1. Zak Finlay - XRAY T4

2. Rob West
3. Daniel Booker
4. Leigh Dibble
5. Lee Price
6. David Usher
7. James Baker - XRAY T4
8. Ben Putt
9. Spencer Jones
10. Nathen Wilson

Modified
In the open modified class XRAY also proved to be the team to beat in the tricky conditions with Olly taking Tq from teammate James Hart for an all XRAY front row. Qualifying started out wet but gradually dried throughout the day but for the A final the rained had returned, although not as much rain as before the drivers still needed to revert back to wet tyres. The final for Olly was straightforward and he led from start to finish to take the overall win. The battle for second place was more thrilling with James Hart eventually winning a race long battle with Colin Price to cross the line in second place.
